CBSE Class 12 Re-exam On April 25, Decision On Class 10 Retest Yet To Be Taken, Confirms Prakash Javadekar.

I once came across a confession of a hacker who just acquired the ICS results of the whole country. Not only was this a privacy violation of the highest order but also a mass broadcast of private information. This happened because the results page most often had no proper security mechanism. Professional hackers are very smart - once they figure out the format of a CBSE or ISC roll number, extracting the useful information will then be a matter of only few hours for them. There is, though, a solution against these result fetchers – to tighten the web security programmes rather than fetching the codes from another un-encrypted source and hiding the content as a wafer-thin layer. This demonstrates the vulnerability of information on the web in India.
The problem with the Indian education system, according to me, is the lackadaisical attitude in being answerable to the loopholes in the system.

The youth today, undivided by any political or geographical boundaries, is the largest labour force that can bring about essential changes in the society leading to sustainable development. Despite this fact, the Indian education system curtails the ability of our students, promoting rote learning instead. Times have changed, people have changed, and with the current of amendments, Indian parents are adjusting to the fact that not all are sculpted to survive a white collar 9 to 5 job.
The last week has seen many speculations whether CBSE will conduct a re-examination for class 12th (Economics) and class 10th (Mathematics) or not, owing to the paper leak.

Along with the circular stating a re-examination for class 10th and 12th students, another circular got viral. Apparently, CBSE decided to roll back its decision to conduct a re- examination for Class 12, economics. As per this circular, CBSE has ‘re- examined’ the happenings of the recent events and concluded that Class XII Economics paper leak was a hoax.

Reportedly, this one is a fake circular. The reports suggesting CBSE will carry out a re- examination of only Class 10 are baseless and do not hold any authenticity.
-
The circular is dated March 28, 2018. Had it been true, it would have been hosted on the official website of cbse.nic.in.
-
Secondly, the board is unlikely to announce a re-test without confirming about the paper leak. And once the board has announced a re-test, the rollback of the decision is next to impossible.

HRD minister Prakash Javadekar has officially tweeted to clear the perplexity.

We only say that marks don’t matter but, in the end, reality hits upon us! We realise that ultimately colleges take admissions on the basis of cut offs, regardless of such turbulences. And then comes the ‘Reservation system’ - a big boulder on the road.
To be successful one needs to be either a college drop out or the University topper. No matter what our skills are, no matter what are stand on the education system is – we are always graded on the scale of our marks by the society.
